Most of the young entrepreneurs, incubated by VentureLab, were born in the 1990’s. This generation has grown up with the Internet revolution and biotechnologies. However, those young people know that their future is, less than ever, all mapped out and that they have to act entrepreneurially if they want to transform society in a way which will meet their aspirations.

Therefore, it is not surprising to see young people’s growing enthusiasm for entrepreneurship! While they have ideas and energy to act ,, they lack the expertise, network and knowledge to develop their project and build their self-esteem, which is essential to launching a new business!

To meet those needs, VentureLab built a team of 14 Entrepreneurs in Residence. They all have a remarkable careers as entrepreneurs. They make themselves available to share their experience, enthusiasm and inspiration. They offer to our young entrepreneurs what they lack the most: their experience and their network. Each Entrepreneur in Residence acts as an advisor that is likely to strengthen self-esteem and credibility. Those entrepreneurs are strongly engaged with us and they spend from 1 to 3 days per week working on their new passion.

In 2015, they spent 60 hours per project on average. It represents more than 3000 hours of interactions with young entrepreneurs. We can talk about a personalized support/mentoring that goes far beyond small talks in between meetings.
